Privacy policy

This policy explains what Kirin Asian Kitchen ("we", "us") collects when you use this website, how we use it, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Orders: your name, phone number, the items you order, pickup or delivery time, and, for delivery, your address and instructions.
- Email: your email address, only if you ask for a receipt or order updates by email.
- Payment: card details are encrypted in your browser and charged by our card terminal or by Stripe. We never store your full card number.
- Accounts: if you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name and email from that provider.
- Reservations, job applications and feedback: what you enter in those forms, including any photos you attach to feedback.
- Visits: the pages you open, how long you stay, your device type, the site that sent you here, and the approximate city of your internet address. We use this to see how the website is used. We count it ourselves, do not keep your internet address, and delete visit records after about 13 months.
- Your browser: we keep your cart and checkout progress in your browser's storage, and a cookie tells a returning visit from a new one. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking.
How we use it
We use your information to prepare your order, contact you about it, take reservations, review job applications, answer feedback, and keep our records and accounting.
Text messages
The Kirin Asian Kitchen order updates program sends transactional texts about the order you placed, such as when it is accepted or rejected and when it is ready for pickup. We do not send marketing or promotional texts.
If you check the optional Text me for order updates box at checkout, we collect your mobile phone number and record your SMS opt-in and consent with your order and customer record. We use this information to send the order updates you requested and to honor your messaging preferences. The box is unchecked by default, and consent is not a condition of purchase.
Message frequency varies, usually a few texts per order. Message and data rates may apply.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

Who we share it with
We share information only with the providers that run this website and our ordering for us, and only to do that work:
- Entree POS and Entree Online, which run our ordering, point of sale and website.
- Stripe, for card payments.
- Google, for address lookup and sign-in.
- Delivery drivers, who receive your name, phone and address for delivery orders.
All of the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep order records as long as we need them for business, tax and accounting purposes. You can ask us to delete your account or other information we no longer need.
Your choices
You can order as a guest, leave text and email updates off, and reply STOP to any text. To see, correct or delete your information, call or visit us.
Children
This website is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new effective date.
